This borrower was seeking to fund cosmetic refurbishment works on a freehold boutique luxury hotel comprising of 19 bedrooms and suites. This was alongside releasing equity for another investment. 

The well-established townhouse hotel is owner-operated and has achieved five gold stars from the AA Hotel Guide for several years running. The property’s location is exceptionally strong, being just off London’s Sloane Square and within close proximity of King’s Road.

The result

Our client needed a lender who had the flexibility to structure a loan that would allow for a short-term income reduction and the completion of works.

The strength of the asset, combined with the strength of the borrower’s hotel management experience, meant that we were able to support them. We delivered an equity-release solution comprising a short-term loan, with the deal completing in a matter of weeks.
