Octopus Real Estate secures site, subject to planning, for 80 bed care home in Blythe Valley Park development.

17 May 2019 By Jayne Shawcross

Octopus Real Estate, part of the Octopus Group and leading investor in healthcare facilities throughout the UK, is pleased to announce they have exchanged contracts with IM Properties to purchase a 1.4 acres site in the Blythe Valley Park development. Plans for an 80-bed care home including extensive landscaping on the land have been submitted to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

Blythe Valley Park is an established 2 million square feet mixed use business park, strategically located in the heart of the UK, surrounded by stunning parkland and leisure facilities. Blythe Valley Park is home to world class occupiers and amenities with over 122 acres of beautiful parkland.

Ashley Heath, in Octopus Real Estate’s healthcare development team, said: “The Blythe Valley Park is an exciting development to be involved in and we’re delighted to be working alongside the master developer IM Properties. The potential for a care home in this area is huge – Blythe Valley benefits from feeling incredibly rural with the amount of green, open space. Yet at the same time, it’s also really well connected to Solihull and its surrounding suburbs. We look forward to being able to oversee the build of the care home to provide exceptional healthcare facilities to the local elderly population.”
