Rangeford Completes the Second Phase of Development at Wadswick Green Retirement Living Community

20 Nov 2018 By Octopus Real Estate

This follows the announcement of a new management team at Rangeford and ambitious plans for the future.

London, UK, 20 November 2018 – Octopus Healthcare, part of the Octopus Group and a leading investor in healthcare facilities throughout the UK and Ireland, is pleased to announce completion of the second phase of development for Rangeford’s Wadswick Green retirement living community in Wiltshire.

Managed by the operator Rangeford, Wadswick Green now has an additional 45 independent living apartments, supplementing the existing 86 apartments already sold and in operation. The development also features 26 assisted living community apartments, with the whole site providing aspirational living to people with a range of ages and needs.

This latest completion follows the recent appointment of a new management team at Rangeford. The team is focused on developing and supporting the existing villages, while growing Rangeford into one of the UK’s leading operators of retirement communities.

Further expansion of Wadswick Green is under way. Ground breaking of phase 2b, which involves 45 new independent living apartments, took place in July 2018, and an additional 45 independent living units are planned to break ground later in 2019.

Kevin Beirne, Director at Octopus Healthcare, said: “Modern retirement communities like Wadswick Green offer people an attractive lifestyle in later life, and the progress of this site is testament to Rangeford’s commitment to improving retirement living in the UK. The newly instated management team have had an impressive start to their tenure. We look forward to our continued partnership with them and supporting the business’ growth developing more retirement communities across the UK.

Howard Nankivell, Chief Executive Officer of Rangeford, said: “The completion of this development is an exciting milestone for us and highlights our progress in establishing Rangeford as a leading operator of exceptional quality retirement living in the UK. The expansion of Wadswick Green builds on the completion of phase 1 in 2015, which saw 112 contemporary apartments developed, and solidifies this as one of our flagship sites.

“The standard of living offered in this dynamic retirement community is outstanding and, with additional apartments made available, we can now offer the exciting and enjoyable community lifestyle it provides to more people entering this stage of their lives”.
